Entrepreneurship: Embarking on a Journey of Resilience and Reinvention

This is my story and how it all started!

Have you ever experienced a time when life seemed to crumble around you, leaving you at the mercy of circumstances? In 2020, amidst the onset of the pandemic, I found myself in such a space, navigating the unraveling of my personal and professional life.

The unraveling began with the end of my marriage and the recurrence of cancer in my father, coinciding with a new diagnosis in the evaluation stage. Balancing his care with my mother’s struggle with Lewy Body Dementia, requiring constant attention, and became an overwhelming responsibility. During these challenges, I faced my own health scare, undergoing major surgery to address a sizable tumor in my uterus.

As if this weren’t enough, my professional life was undergoing upheaval as the healthcare system I worked for underwent a stressful merger. Feeling increasingly disconnected from my values within the vast healthcare landscape, I found myself yearning for a change.

Despite allowing myself moments of self-pity, I held onto my positive outlook and embraced the mantra, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” Little did I know, this tumultuous period was paving the way for a significant life reboot.

I discovered that the pain and chaos were clearing the path for what I truly desired in life. I embraced the opportunity for self-discovery, leading me to live my best life with purpose both professionally and personally.

Leaving behind my career in healthcare, I embarked on a daring journey to make nutrition and culinary medicine accessible, affordable, scalable, and enjoyable for everyone. As a divorced middle-aged woman, I took a risk, risking all that remained to uncover my true self.

And that is how Launch My Health started!
